Welcome to the Lazy JS Ranch and our 52nd annual Quarter horse production sale!
It is with both excitement and sadness that we welcome you to this year’s sale. Excited to announce that last fall the ranch earned the distinction of the Legacy Award, given out by the American Quarter Horse Association. This award recognizes producers who have continuously registered Quarter horse foals for 50 years. This long-standing tradition began with the family patriarch, Russ Silha, and continues today with the same emphasis on athleticism, conformation and disposition.
Sad to announce that our family matriarch, Fran Silha, passed away this past January. Mom was the hospitality arm of the ranch—providing a welcoming home and meals (and especially cookies, bars and pies!) to countless visitors over the years. Her presence and wisdom is deeply missed and we have large shoes to fill.
We welcome our guest consignors and hope you will treat them as well as you continue to treat us. While things are changing at the ranch, our commitment to quality hasn’t changed. We invite you to inspect the offering at any time. We will continue the tradition…you’ll find the coffee pot on and a welcoming home. Please drop by if you’re in the area.
