Manufactured in 1945. The left side of the slide is marked "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and the "P" proof is marked on top centered between the ejection port and rear sight. The left side of the frame is marked "FJA", the inspector mark for Frank J. Atwood with a "P" near the magazine release. The right side of the frame is stamped with a rather faint Ordnance Wheel cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number behind the slide stop pin hole and "M1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" in front of the slide stop pin hole. It has the proper blue finish barrel and a blue finished magazine. Standard features of 1911A1. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips.

Condition: Excellent, the pistol retains 99% of the arsenal (or possibly factory) parkerized finish with marks and some light scratches from handling and use. Some sharp edge wear is visible overall along with some areas of thinning. The grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
