Late-War Commercial Walther Model HP Semi-Automatic Pistol, #23076, 9mm, 4-7/8'' barrel, blue and plum finish, brown grooved phenolic resin grips, with ''(eagle)/N'' proofmarks to slide, frame and barrel assembly. Barrel with matching numbers, locking block marked ''076'' in larger format block script. Condition is very good to near fine with light overall general thinning to finish. Light pitting through slide address. Grips definitely show signs of being a late-war variant. Action is crisp, bore is fine. Original red and white paint remain in the safety area. These late-war commercial pistols were used by different non-military agencies, such as police, customs and railway. These later commercial HPs in no way mimic the pre-war finishes. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
