Late '50's Marlin 39A Lever Action Rifle, #P3646, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' round ''JM'' marked micro-groove barrel. Oil finished pistol-grip walnut stock with a factory black plastic Marlin buttplate. Rifle also features a hooded silver bead front sight on ramped base and sporting elevator rear sight. Receiver is topped with a Marlin Micro-Vue 4x scope with a fine crosshair reticle. Mfg'd 1957. Approx. 98% factory blue remains and metal surfaces rate as excellent overall, showing intermittent thin scratches and other small handling marks, most noticeable on the right side of the receiver. Wood is in fine condition with some small surface dents and very shallow scratches; wrist with a little darkening; stock fits nice and tight at the upper tang but does show some wear at the edges. Excellent crisp action and bore. Optics are a little cloudy and may improve with a thorough cleaning; lenses are free of any chips or visible damage. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
