Included in this lot we have a set of three prints of Ellensburg Rodeo posters originating from 1989- 1998. The set consists of three different framed poster, each from a different year and with a painting by a different artist. The Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo was started in 1923 as a weekend event along with the local fair in Ellensburg, Washington. What started out as a local competition is now the second largest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the top 25 largest rodeos in America. The first of the prints is the poster for the 67th Labor Day Ellensburg rodeo in 1989. The poster shows information on the rodeo, as well as a painting of a farm house in the mountains with three horses saddled in the front. The painting was made by Jim Powell and is titled "Now, Today...". The second piece is the poster for the 75th Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo and the 75 anniversary of the rodeo's founding. The poster is marked with the information on the rodeo and shows a painting of three cowboys on horse back guiding a heard of cattle across a desert valley. The painting is titled "Desert Cowboys" and was painted by Ken Duffin. The third and final poster is the 1998 76th Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo poster and painting. The poster shows the information on the rodeo along with the painting showing the image of six horses standing on the top of a hill with a blue sky and rolling hills. The painting is titled "Unbridled" by Teresa Schleigh. The prints show good condition overall with some slight wear on the wood frames. The frames measure 24 1/4" wide by 18 5/8" tall for the first, 27 1/4" wide by 20 3/4" tall for the second, and 26 1/2" wide by 20 1/2" tall for the third.
