For your bidding pleasure is this Late 1800s Gooseneck Copper Dovetail Kettle. The lid is crafted in a traditional fashion as is the way with the copper kettles of the 1860's, the handle of the lid is called a flared acorn handle. The goose neck is a style of spout that ends in an open mouth and set along the vertical dovetail joint on the body. The handle of the kettle itself is called an English tapered handle and is hollow to reduce the heat absorption and is identifiable by the small hole in the front of the handle. The measurements of this kettle are 11" x 11" x 8 1/2".
