For your consideration is this hand-made solid oak wall clock advertising piece for Lang Creek Brewery. Before closing in the Spring of 2009, Lang Creek Brewery, located in Marion, MT (Flathead Valley), had the distinction of being America's most remote brewery--as well as one of the oldest in Montana. Lang Creek Brewery was started by John Campbell in 1993 when he converted his airplane hangar into a brewery, thus merging his two passions: beer making and aviation. Campbell's Lang Creek Brewery was then the 6th licensed brewery in Montana; there are now about 80 operating in the state. With beer names such as Skydiver Blonde Ale, Tri-Motor Amber, and Taildragger Honey Wheat, Lang Creek's aviation-themed beers became popular around the state, as well as in cities throughout the Northwest. Alas, the beautiful and remote location that made Lang Brewery so unique and wonderful was its ultimate downfall. The nearest incorporated town was 40 miles away, so the customer base for the taproom was just not there. In 2009, Lang Creek Brewery closed its doors. This hand made advertising wall clock was from better days. "1996" is handwritten onto the back of the clock and burnt into the wood on the back is an artisan's stamp, "Handcrafted by W.J. Danielson". The round clock has a bevelled frame in light oak. The face is a printed whited disc with Arabic numerals around the ring at each hour; seconds are smaller and in 5's on the outside of the ring. The hands are black with a red second hand. In the center of the clock face, in red stylised script, is "Lang Ale" and the image of a tri-motor plane in black. Surrounding this logo is the name and location, "Lang Creek Brewery/ Marion, Montana" in red. Surrounding that are beer names in black: Tri-Motor Amber, Scudrunner Dark, Windsock Pale Ale, and Taildragger Honey Wheat. The clock is is excellent condition and working order. It measures about 12.25" in diameter; the clock face is 9" in diameter.
