The lot features a Lakota Sioux Native American Indian beaded hide pipe bag from the late 20th Century. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with glass trade seed beads in a pictorial and geometric pattern. The beadwork extends on all sides ad is further accented by the long hide fringe at the base, beaded fringe with rolled tin jingle cones and beaded drop at the top. The bag shows four horseback pictorial beaded figures with coup staffs and lance at hand. The beadwork includes beads of such colors as chalk white, greasy yellow, blue, green, black, light blue and maroon. The bag was traded by Tom Waugh and made by a Lakota woman in the late 20th Century. This piece is in very good condition and measures 26.5”L by 6”W at the beadwork.
