LOT OF FOUR M1 STYLE VIETNAM ERA HELMETS.
1. ARVN Military Police M1 Helmet. Rear seam & swivel bail helmet. Front of shell has white paint "QC" for Quan Canh the South Vietnamese military police. Right side of shell has red paint "III" in front of white circle. Left side of shell has white shield w/ white star & two pistols. Shell also has four white & red stripes around the circumference. Firestone mfg. liner marked "62" & "108". CONDITION: shell shows notable oxidation inside & out. Exterior of shell shows scattered flaking & a couple dents. Right chinstrap was broken off & is missing. Liner shows some flaking & staining. 2. US 504th BN MP Helmet. Front seam & swivel bale helmet. Front of shell has white paint "MP" for military police. Left side of shell has white paint "504" for 504th MP battalion. There is also the outline of the number "30" beneath the 504 paint. Right side of shell has the battalion's dragon insignia over the words "DUTY JUSTICE AND HONOR". Helmet also has red & white stripes around its circumference. Chinstrap present. Inside of liner marked "US 28". Exterior of liner has Private First Class insignia & imprints for stripes. CONDITION: exterior of shell shows a few moderate dents, some light oxidation, some scattered flaking & dust staining. Inside of shell shows some flaking, oxidation & dirt staining. Liner shows scattered flaking & scuffing. 3. ARVN Ranger Helmet. Rear seam & swivel bail helmet. Front of shell has ARVN Ranger black cat & star logo. Shell has camoflauge paint. Both sides of chin strap are missing. Liner appears unmarked. CONDITION: exterior of shell shows scattered flaking, staining & oxidation. Interior shows overall flaking to gray w/ oxidation & staining. Liner shows overall flaking & some scuffing. 4. M1 Helmet liner w/ ARVN Ranger logo. No shell present. Front of liner has ARVN Ranger cat & star. Liner has camoflauge paint. Inside marked "US 20". CONDITION: liner shows some scuffing & light flaking. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E.
