Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
Pair of sterling silver half hoop earrings, have a straight line design with a 14 karat gold stripe that runs down the center, very elegant pair of earrings. Earrings are 10.3 mm wide and 20.8 mm from top to bottom straight line measure from the top to bottom of the half circle. Earrings weigh approximately 4 g each for total combined weight of 8 g. Only one earring is stamped and marked with 14 K, Sterling, and L (we cannot identify the silversmith as there are at least seven individual artists that use just the letter L as their hallmark)
