This shotgun was manufactured circa 1897 and has two white bead sights, is choked full/full and has 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The top of the rib is engraved "MADE TO ORDER BY THE HUNTER ARMS CO FULTON, N.Y." with a small rose gold inlaid band at the rear and there are wedges of floral scroll on the sides of the chamber area. The jeweled bottom flat of the nitro steel barrels are marked with the serial number "2377" over "5E". The left side plate has a panel scene of two dogs on a rocky area with trees in the background which is surrounded by floral scroll engraving and there is a small woodcock in a panel at the front of the side plate. The right side plate shows two dogs next to a wooden fence with trees in the background surrounded by floral scroll with a small quail at the front on the side plate. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm with ebony tip and straight grip stock with Hawkins vented red rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Condition: Professionally refinished, 99% of the blue finish remains on the barrels with some minor wear, some scratches around the mid bead and a flush broken off mid bead 4 inches behind the mid bead. The trigger guard/lower tang retains 70% original blue finish. The casehardened components retain strong traces of original case colors with a silvery patina on the balance. The revarnished wood is very good with a few small tight hairline cracks extending from the forearm knuckle, a small tight hairline crack extending from the rear of the right side plate and some scattered minor scratches and dings. The comb has been altered and slightly lowered.
