Kreighoff two-barrel set, 12ga, showing exhibition-style engraving, serial #8091. The gun shows barrel #1, 26-1/4”, choked “Improved Cylinder” over “Improved Cylinder”. Barrel #2 choked Modified over ImprovedCylinder. The gun is finely engraved in game scenes with gold birds, pierced lever showing crown on lever, signed by engraver “W. Kolouch”. The triggerguard is pierced and shows the initials “JRL”. The condition isfine to excellent. The gun is stocked in figured walnut measuring 14-1/4” to the end of the wood, 14-3/4” to the end of the pad. There is nice checkering on the pistol grip and shows panels at each side of action.Condition is fine to excellent. Kolouch is a well regarded engraver and we are unable to confirm whether this was done through Kreighoff or an outside agent. From the Robert Petersen collection. Est: $4,000 -8000
