Included in this lot we have a Koehler MFG Co. Carbide Flame Safety miners lamp originating from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The lamp was made by the Koehler Manufacturing Company located in Marlboro, Massachusetts. The piece shows metal construction with a glass cylinder at the center and a carry hook on the top. The lamp is marked across the top reading "Permissible Flame Safety Lamp MSHA Approval on 209-15 Issued To The Koehler MFG. Co. Marlboro Mass. U.S.A.". The piece displays two brass tags reading "103" and "Eugine Pizzuto" that where most likely used by the mine and miner using the lamp. The exterior of the lamp shows green and reflective orange tape wrapped around the piece. This lamp shows good condition overall with some wear across the piece and the tape showing wear. The miners lamp measures 13 1/4" tall including the hook with the lamp frame measuring 8 3/4" tall by 3 3/4" diameter.
