Cal. 32 RF. S# 7129. Bbl. 6". Round brass blade front sight. Mfg. 1861-1874. Matching assembly numbers on the grip frame and cyl. Bbl. assembly number is illegible due to pitting. The left side of the bbl. is marked "MANUFACTURED FOR B. KITTREDGE & CO. CINCINNATI, OHIO", denoting that this revolver was one of 2600 sold by the Kittredge & Co. retailer in Ohio. Blued finish. Rosewood grips have a stamped matching number on the right panel. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: an article by Robert Sands on Kittredge retailed revolvers that lists this gun by serial number. CONDITION: grips show scattered flaking varnish, dings, and handling wear. Metal retains 10% of its blue with overall fading to gray, some pitting on the inside, and scattered oxidation.
