Manufactured circa 1957 and subsequently professionally embellished by Kurt Jaeger of Mainz, Germany. There is oak leaf and acorn engraving on the trigger guard, top of the receiver, breech end of the barrel and sides of the receiver framing game scenes with a silver inlaid red stag and doe in a wooded scene on the left side and a silver inlaid wild boar and dog in a wooded scene on the right side. There is silver inlay border around the outside edge of each side and a decorative pattern over the breech on the barrel. The top of the receiver is tapped for scope mounting with no screws or blocks present. Mounted on a nicely figured, checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with raised rollover cheekpiece and Pachmayr White Line recoil pad.

Condition: Professionally custom embellished, 90% blue finish remaining with some muzzle and high edge wear. All of the silver remains. The varnished custom wood is good with moderately worn checkering, a filler repair at the top of the wrist and loose recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
