John Wilkes full side lock double barrel shotgun with ornate multi colored gold inlays and extra high quality thru out in 12 gauge with case. The locks show ornate gold inlays of flowers and leaves with scrolls andhanging game. The backgrounds are bank note scroll engraved to accent the inlays. The gun is chambered for 2-3/4" shells and in proof. The left barrel is .22 about improved modified, right barrel is .10 about improved cyl. The barrels are 28" in length and measure .40 in thickness for left barrel and .45 for thickness in right barrel. The stock measures 14-5/8" to the end of the checkered wood butt with 2" drop at heel, 1-1/2" dropat comb. There is a ¾" cast at toe and ½" cast at heel. The condition is fine to excellent showing 96-99% original blue and case hardening with evidence of only slight use. The trigger guard retains 98% plusoriginal blue and bores are excellent. Contained within its original leather over oak case with trade label in lid and showing brass corners to exterior of case. The case is in near fine condition with a canvas
