John Rigby & Company Dublin and London marked double-rifle of high quality. 26” Barrels, 42-1/2” overall, weighs 8.9lbs. .450 #1 Express caliber, blue and case hardened finish, checkered select walnut stocks,serial #14993. The gun remains in very good to near find original condition showing 85-95% blue on barrel evenly drifting and toning, The rear sight is missing one leaf, the front sight is a modern replacement. Theaction is beautifully engraved in bank-note scrolls and shows 50-70% case hardening going to patina. The checkered select walnut stocks are very good plus showing a figured burl wood grain selected for strength withsome minor scratches, mars, normal use. The rear sling swivel stud is a crude replacement, hand-made. The rifle shows an old leather recoil pad, stock measures 14-3/4” to the end of the wood, 15” to theend of the pad. The barrels are tight upon the action, bores bright, some bright case hardening beneath the lever. The gun is in exceptionally good condition for its age. Approx. 500 round of Bob Haley ammunition is
