Manufactured in 1959. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 38 SPECIAL" on the left side. Both in a scallop border panel and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt in a banner. Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame and under the grip. The revolver features nearly full coverage engraving, with the front strap the only surface not engraved. Floral scroll and punch dot background cover most of the surfaces with a leaf design in the cylinder fluted, on the sides of the top strap and the top edge of the ejector housing. A geometric circle and diamond design cover the trigger guard and back strap shoulders and there is a steer skull and punch dot background on the hammer sides. There is a star burst on the front of the frame and it signed "ADAMS". The top of the back strap has a shell design and the back strap has a scallop border. Standard blade front sight with geometric circle and diamond design and fitted with a smooth ivory grip on the left and relief steer head with gold horns and braided nose ring, and red eyes. The back of the left panel is red ink stamped "HAND MADE BY / DC" and scratched into the right panel is "J Adams (in script) / 1999". The accompanying factory letter verifies serial number 25320SA as a 38 special, 4 3/4" barrel, blue finished, grips "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 to Carter's Gun Shop, U.S. route 30, Shabbona, Illinois on March 24, 1959.
