Jo-o-Kay Suede Dupont Quilon Processed Jacket
Featured in this lot is this suede Dupont Quilon processed jacket from Jo-o-Kay. This jacket shows wonderfully and professionally crafted suede construction that features a three button up front with two front pockets. The jacket features the original tags and instruction on care. Jo-o-Kay was started by John and Kay Simpler of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Originally wanting to name their company Jo-Kay, in a slightly humorous twist of fate, underwear maker Jockey was concerned about confusion and paid for them to add the extra 'O' to the name. Jo-o-Kay did very well for themselves in the suede/leather western jacket obsessed 60s and 70s, with spreads in magazines like the photo excerpt from a 1964 Sports Illustrated spread, included down below. The condition of this jacket is good with some wear to the suede but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this jacket is 32 1/2" x 22".
