Strapped on early cowboy boots. Elegant and artistic late 19th century Jesus Tapia Southern California silver mounted lady’s spurs with long vaquero heel chains feature a tapered heelband adorned with six engraved quarter-inch inlaid bars separated by filed inlets. The full curve drop shank adorned with Tapia’s classic engraving leading to his trademark bird’s head shank that supports a 1 1/2”-10 pt rowel. Raised chap guard is inlaid across the top. Each early, untooled, two-piece leathers are decorated with seven silver spots, a 1 1/2” domed and scalloped concho. Straps are affixed to a flower-shaped iron button. Excellent condition, c 1890s. Spurs mounted on a pair of early (1915-25) brown 13 1/2” high cowboy boots with decoratively stitched shafts and Cuban heels
