Japanese style carved bone/ivory tonto, circa approx. 1890 – 1930. The scabbard is nicely carved with figures of samurai and nobles, dragon handle, and dragon tail at tip. The carving is signed with 3-character signature at front. The polished bone scabbard and handle is in good condition, carving is fairly sharp. The blade is artificially tempered, approx. 7-1/2” in length, in samurai style, but not true Japanese. These decorative swords were made for merchants and export about the turn of the century, and this one is above average quality. Est: $750 - $1,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
