Early production Japanese military semi-automatic service pistol chambered in 8mm, circa 1931. Features a blued finish, 4.7" barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, notched rear window sight, steel frame, small trigger guard, smooth trigger, checkered cocking piece, manual safety, magazine safety, push button magazine release, 8 round magazine, lanyard loop and two-piece grooved wood grips. No import marks and serial numbers match on the frame, barrel, trigger guard, trigger, magazine release, & magazine safety. Markings: Upper receiver - The third symbol on the left side has been defaced, on the right side - The Koishikawa symbol, a defaced character, "43" and defaced "1". Frame - "6.5". Magazine - "245". Pistol exhibits approximately 85% of it's blued finish showing light wear and finish loss on the grip frame. Action is smooth but the recoil springs may need to be replaced as the are very crooked & are preventing the bolt from returning to 'battery' on their own, bore is bright with good rifling and wood grips are very good. Condition is very good. ***C&R Firearm*** ***Modern Firearm***
