A senninbari, 'thousand person stitches') or one thousand stitch is a belt or strip of cloth stitched 1,000 times and given as a Shinto amulet by Japanese women and imperial subjects to soldiers going away to war. Original WW2 manufacture. A nicely worn thousand stitch belt, with the stitches done in the outline of a leaping tiger, feint Japanese writing and flag. The cotton fabric shows staining from use and wear, but is without holes or tears, it measures 40 inches in length with ties.
