James Purdy & Sons best quality side block ejector shotgun in 12 gauge remaining in fine to excellent condition with original leather over oak carrying case, serial number 27726 made about 1969. This gun shows 28” barrels and factoryinformation states “Right barrel 1/4 choke and Left barrel 3/4 choke. The stock measures 15” to the end of a thin leather English style pad and 14 ¼” to the end of the wood. The right barrel measures .035 and the left barrel measures .038showing just minor use. The stock drops 1 3/8” at the comb and 1 5/16” at the heel with a neutral cast. The barrels show 95% to 98% original English blue finish that is tonning slightly and the frame shows 95% to 98% bright case hardening. Thetrigger guard shows 95% to 98% bright blue. The small parts show most of their fire blue finish. The interior of the case is fine to near excellent showing original paper label and makers label with the number on the label and informationmatching this gun. The case contains Purdy marked snap caps, oiler and a accessory pouch. Also some minor accessories in the compartment and a working key. The exterior of the case shows just a couple of very minor scuffs and retains its original
