James Purdey & Sons 12 bore SxS shotgun with 30” barrels, auto ejectors, 2 ¾” chambers, S/N 17720 and originally built 1902-05. Copies of letters and bills from Purdey confirms return to the factory forrefinishing, lengthening of chamber, and re-proof circa 1978. Currently shows 1978 nitro proof for 1 1/8 oz. shot also self-opening, straight stock without pistol grip, splinter fore end, floral and scrollbest quality engraved with British style heel plate. Letters also confirm restocking and change from pistol grip to straight. The condition is fine to excellent as factory re-built and refinished. The length of pullis 14 ½” to front trigger, drop is 1 ½” at comb and 2 ½” at heel. Choked cylinder and improved cylinder. The barrel thickness are “In range”. Also a Purdey motor case with label in lid included. Approximately $80,000to replace at current rates and a very nice gun showing modern proofing and factory restoration. (C&R) Est.: $12,500-$25,000

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
