This lot offers you the chance to bid on a fine collection of famous Texas Cowboy artist - James Boren's prints and first edition biography and portfolio written by Dean Krakel and published by Northland Press in 1968. The hardcover, first edition biography is titled "James Boren: A Study in Discipline" and covers not only James Borens extensive works, but also shares his life story and inspirations for his personal work. The authentic and numbered prints include "First Light of a Winters Morning" 1759/2250, "After a Rainy Night" 253/2250, "A Wet Morning" 915/2250, and "In Late April" 1652/2250. The unframed prints show fantastic, vibrant colors through a lithograph process, and are signed on the bottom right of each print. Each print carries a separate copy write and date, as well as the original date of each print. Please refer to photos for detailed photos. All-in-all, the collection is in very good to great condition. All of the prints retain good aesthetic condition with little to no defect in the high quality paper. The novel also shows good quality, with an original sleeve with very minimal scratches, and the novel itself with only very minimal splitting in the binding. The Novel inside the book sleeve measures 9 3/8" wide, 10 3/4" tall, 3/4" thick. Each print is foam boarded and shrink wrapped, each board measures 28 1/2" x 32 1/2".
