God of Longevity, generally depicted in sculptures as an old man with a long white beard, holding a staff that has a scroll or a book attached. Jurojin is a member of Japan's Seven lucky Gods. Finely carved to depict a bearded elder holding staff with a child holding a fan at his feet. A netsuke is a small toggle, often in the form of a carved ivory or wood figure, used to secure a purse or container suspended on a cord from the sash of a kimono. Measures 2 3/4" high. Artist's signature in red rectangle underneath by the feet. Can only be sold in the state of Arizona.
