Interesting marriage of Stevens pocket pistol with gaming or gambling set marked on top Boercike and Tafel, Home Guardian, Mfg. U.S.A. 1876 embossed in gold on lid. Also a small paper label advertises this set for needs of protection, medical, home repair and entertainment. A Stevens pocket pistol in fair to good condition has been secured into the lid by thin metal clamps also a small dagger placed beneath it. This set contains a cribbage board, playing cards, medical kit with small vials for medication and a spring type pair of pliers, cards, needles, thread and other odd ephemera. These sets in almost all cases have had the firearms added at a later date but they are decorative and interesting and could have been married together ages ago. Keith and Lori Candee Collection.
