Interesting custom-made brass frame percussion single shot rifle, .60 cal., 32” heavy octagon barrel, engraved brass frame with engraving at muzzle and breech ends of iron barrel, faux brass loading tube underbarrel that holds the gun’s metal ramrod, wood butt stock, #NVSN. This gun shows no visible makers marks and appears to have age but we cannot ascertain the exact period of manufacture; barrel shows a brown patina,engraving on frame shows six animal scene panels (three on each side) and deep floral designs; matching style of engraving on top of brass butt plate; good action, bore and wood stock; consignor states this gun wasmade for a construction foreman of the Union Pacific railroad but no other documentation accompanies this lot concerning that attribution.
