Interesting T. Ketland and Company London marked flintlock pistol converted to percussion with hammer marked J. F. Getz (Jacob Getz Philadelphia, 1860-1889) . The barrel shows marking extra proof along with AB initials and Belgian ELG proof. The Belgians copied Ketland pistols and exported them to America and other developing nations in the early 19th century where the Ketland name was famous. The stock shows small pearl inlays and engraved German silver inlays at wrist and tang which have a distinct American frontier look. The condition is good to very good overall with some small losses to the stock and normal aging with a dark patina on the iron and un-cleaned brass. An interesting pistol. Est.: $800-$1,600.
