Interesting SxS exposed hammer back action locks shotgun marked “Albert Greener” on both locks and “Fine Twist” on top of the barrel rib, 12 gauge, 32” barrels, checkered wood stocks, checkered hard rubber butt plate with raised dog’s head with bird in his mouth. This gun is in overall fair to good condition showing a dark brown patina on metal surfaces with some scattered areas of erosion and pin prick pitting; the actions are good, the bore is fair with a couple spots of erosion; wood is worn but complete and also shows a heavy uncleaned patina with some scattered mars and scratches from carry and storage; the butt pad has an old loss at thetop; no visible serial numbers externally. Accompanying this shotgun is a letter from rifle maker, Albert Greener indicating in part that they had reviewed photos of this gun and believe it “to be genuine as severalof its characteristics are evident in guns made by other members of the family.” Albert Greener was born in 1846 and was of the second generation of Greener gun makers and the third son of William Greener.
