A beautiful inscribed Egyptian blue-green frit amulet of Mut, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, depicted seated on her throne, holding the infant Horus whom she suckles in her lap. She wears a large wig decorated with cobras and a headdress representing Upper and Lower Egypt. The back of the amulet with a vertical column of hieroglyphic text and the amulet is extremely well-preserved with excellent surfaces and brilliant color. H: 2 4/5 in (7.2cm).
