The top strap is marked "DEANE ADAMS & DEANE/30 KING WILLIAM ST. LONDON BRIDGE". The revolver has a floral scroll engraving on the frame sides, back strap, butt and trigger guard with a band of engraving on the front of the cylinder. Two British proofs are stamped on the upper left barrel flat with additional proofs stamped between the cylinder chambers. Fitted with checkered grips. The partitioned case is lined in green felt and has a Deane Adams & Deane paper label on the inside of the lid. The top of the lid has a circular plate marked "Capt. R. CROWHURST." The initials "RC" are also inscribed on the engraved steel buttcap. Further research could provide some interesting results, quite possibly Civil War era. The following accessories are included: oiler, James Dixon plain bag shaped powder flask, nipple wrench, brush, two cavity brass bullet mold and cleaning rod/ramrod.

Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The engraving is crisp. The grips are very fine with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine. The case is fine with some minor handling marks, some loose partition walls and worn lining. The label is clear.
