Manufactured in 1944. Fixed front sight marked "R", Underwood barrel dated "4-44", 3rd style barrel band with bayonet lug marked "JM" and "CM". Two rivet handguard with high wood, straight slide face, round bolt, stamped fully adjustable rear sight marked "J.A.O.". Rotary safety, "M" marked magazine release, milled trigger, milled trigger guard, smooth walnut pistol grip stock with circled "P" proof, ordnance cartouche on right rear, "U" on left wrist, "IO" in sling cutout, oval oiler cutout and checkered steel buttplate. With a green web sling, an Imperial Marked M4 bayonet and an M8A1 scabbard.

Condition: Very fine. Arsenal refurbished, 97% parkerized finish remains with some high edge and cycling wear with some scattered minor scratches and rub marks. The stock is good with a repair pin in front of the magazine well and has been considerably reshaped with scattered minor scratches and dings. The bayonet is very good with sharpening and rub marks. The sheath is also very good with some scattered scratches.
