Incised carved half-stocked Kentucky rifle converted to percussion, barrel marked “S. Morrison, Milton”, 40” half round, half octagon, double set triggers (not working at time of description) engraved brass patchboxwith brass butt plate, trigger guard, ramrod ferrules and other mountings. This gun has a Pennsylvania style circa 1833-1838 with a brown patina on metal surfaces, old pitting around firing areas, brass has been polishedand lacquered; stock is overall good with simple incised carving on the left side of the butt stock; working action.
