Important original Transfer of Patents dated May 12, 1881 related to the purchase of entire interest of J. William Mason’s patent on an improvement on breechloading firearms (Mason conversion of Colt percussion firearms to cartridge). The document is in overall very good condition showing separation at the folds and some foxing from age; approx. 14” x 8”. A really great piece of history for the serious Colt collector.
