Important factory exhibition quality engraved Colt Lightening magazine fed pump-action rifle, .32-20 caliber, 26” octagon barrel, full magazine, file butt, deluxe pistol grip checkered burl walnut stocks, rifle buttplate, adjustable set trigger. Gold and nickel plated. Attributed to Gustav Young, refer The Book of Colt Firearms, page 472 illustration H, and page 497. Also The Colt Engraving Book, Volume 1, page 494, and Colt Engraving page 351. Serial #17375. The rifle shows 85-95% original blue on barrel and magazine tube, just slightly drifting at the edges with some toning and natural minor aging. The frame shows 80-90% original soft nickel plate, that shows some slight bubbling, some minor loss on left side, and strong traces of original gold wash, particularly on the trigger guard. The tang sight is correct type and shows most of its original blue. The hammer shows considerable case hardening, at least 75%. The safety and trigger show bright original blue as do the small parts. The engraving is extremely deluxe and one of the best known in the series and shows a hunter stalking stag at center panel, left side of frame, and Rampant Colt logo in large vignette at top of

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment.
