I Love Lucy Chinese Planter Set Pieces
It's a fact that there is no time of the day, or no day in the year when "I Love Lucy" is not playing somewhere in the world. And the Ricardo's New York apartment is more recognized and well known than Mount Rushmore or the Eiffel Tower! Sadly virtually everything to do with those iconic sets: the living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are gone. That's what makes these two set pieces so rare. They were on the Ricardo's dressing table in the bedroom set for the early episodes. They were "saved" by Sharon Tobler, who found them in the Desilu Prop Department while working on "Here's Lucy" in the late 1960's. These two delicate Chinese porcelain figures were actually tiny planters, but never had anything growing in them, though were knocked around a bit in some episodes, and did find a pencil or two in them! An extremely delightful treasure of the most beloved of all Television comedies. Both pieces are approximately 9" high. Comes with a special Letter of Provenience from Ms. Tobler.
