Originally a double rifle in 577 caliber, the barrels are currently 16 gauge shotgun barrels. There is a single bead sight on the concave solid rib, dolls head extension. The barrels have, 2 1/2" chambers, choked extra full/improved cylinder with extractor. The action, lock plates, break lever are engraved with floral scroll designs and each lock is marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" and the left side of the action is marked "CHARGE 6 DRAMS CASE 3 INCHES". Under lever, double triggers, tang mounted safety and mounted with a checkered walnut splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with metal engraved grip cap, gold initial oval, sling swivel stud and unmarked vented rubber recoil pad. LOP is 14 7/8". Accompanied by a Holland & Holland letter which verifies serial number 14023 as being a Royal Hammerless double rifle, having been made in 1892 in 577 black powder caliber, stock had a cheekpiece and it gives the stock specs. Upgrading back to a set of original .577 barrels may prove to be profitable.
