Holland & Holland 12 bore double with “Paradox” rifling for big game slugs, S/N 16103. Contained within its original case showing proper trade label and full complement of accessories. The barrels measure 28” and 45” overall with two leafrear sight graduated for 50 and 100 yards with “Paradox” marking. The barrels show 70%-80% English blue that is toning and dulling with slight loss at the edges. The frame shows traces of case colors within a light silver patina. Thestocks are professionally refreshed with checkering sharpened. The trigger guard and grip cap show most English blue. The action locks up tight and the bores are bright. The interior of the case is very good plus to near fine showingonly slightly stained original label. A near mint Paradox 12 mold for slugs included along with 2 marked snap caps H&H, oiler, paradox regulator tool, bone parts container, 2 screw drivers, decapper, brass casing tool, and rods. Theexterior of the case shows “W.G.D.” initials and is good to very good. A great big game gun from English Imperial era of the type favored in both India and Africa for close up defense on dangerous game. (C&R) Est.: $9,000-$18,000
