Custom built bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum, with engraving attributed to Rudolph Kornbrath. Hand built by famed pre-WWII gun makers at their original Cleveland, Ohio shop utilizing a Mauser square bridge magnum action, circa 1923-1925. Features a blued finish, fine hand cut Germanic style scroll engraving, 26" tapered barrel with quarter-rib fitted with triple drop-leaf express sights marked for 100, 200 & 300 yards, ramped and hooded blade front sight with bead top, single square bridge Mauser receiver with dovetailed flip-up aperture sight marked for 100 yards, installed Griffin & Howe style side mount scope base, hand "jeweled' bolt with turned down handle, partially knurled trigger, three-position safety, internal box magazine with hinged floorplate, smooth brown leather sling with quick detach swivels, and point checkered walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with horn forend tip, steel grip cap, beaded right handed pancake cheekpiece & Old English recoil pad. The barrel address reads "HOFFMAN ARMS CO. CLEVELAND, OHIO 220. The serial number 93644 is found whole or in part on the receiver, magazine, sear, trigger, bolt sleeve, safety and bolt release. Includes a hang tag with hand written note from Jim Wilkinson that reads "Hoffman Magnum Mauser 375 H&H cal. Kornbrath Engraved $5,000.00". Rifle exhibits approximately 70% of it's original blued finish showing thinning, edge wear, some handling marks and heavy finish loss on the bottom metal from carrying.
