Hmong Chinese Monkey Sniper Rifle CIA Bring Back
This is an exceedingly rare original Hmong Chinese monkey rifle sniper rifle that was brought back to the USA from Vietnam by a CIA operative. The rifle is a muzzle loading flintlock musket. The rifle was used by the Hmong tribesmen led by the CIA against Communist forces in the 1950’s. The rifle shows considerable age and was most likely handed down through generations. This was originally used as a monkey rifle as monkey is a great delicacy in the Hmong culture. The piece shows a blacksmith barrel and flint lock with a rare carved full wood stock. The barrel is held with the stock using metal wraps. The piece comes with the Hmong powder horn. Exact age of the piece is unknown, but could be from as early as the 18th century. Overall length 53".
