These four service medals belonged to Robert Franklin Drake, Aviation Radioman Second Class, U.S. Naval Reserve. He was killed in action on October 30, 1944. The medals are the following: Purple Heart Medal, Air Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and American Campaign Medal. Each medal has its corresponding service ribbon and the Purple Heart and Air Medal are both inscribed with Robert Drake's name. The Purple Heart also comes with an award certificate stating that Drake died from his wounds on October 30, 1944 and the medal was presented posthumously on October 3, 1945. An Oklahoma state supreme sacrifice certificate awarded to Drake is also included.
