The included factory letter confirms the 45 Colt caliber, 4 3/4 inch barrel length, blue finish, factory inscribed W.F. & Co. on the butt with the type of stocks as "Not listed". The revolver was sold and shipped to Wells Fargo & Company, W.M. Ashton, New York, New York. The date of shipment is listed as April 16, 1909 and the revolver was part of a 12 gun shipment. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address with "45 COLT" on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two line, three patent date marking with a circled Rampant Colt and the left side of the trigger guard is marked with a factory triangle proof and the letter "W". Matching serial number on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap with the assembly number "132" on the loading gate. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer. Fitted with checkered grips featuring the Rampant Colt inside an oval at the top. The Wells Fargo marking is present on the butt: "W.F.&Co".

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance between a smooth gray and brown patina. The frame and hammer retain 50% original case colors. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered minor handling marks and some mild wear in the overall crisp checkering, the left grip is slightly lighter see photo. Mechanically excellent.
