Highly decorated French palm squeezer showing Gaulois marking in gold on barrel and finely gold inlaid frame with scroll engraving, pearl grip, original to the period leather cigar type case and flush gold inlay “Manufacture Francaise St. Etienne in circular cartouche in gold on top of frame. Serial #7283. The palm squeezer show approx. 30-40% blue drifting to a dark brownish grey with some scattered light surface pitting. The pearl scales or grip is very good. The action is working and the small parts are retained. The engraving and old inlay are a very high quality and a deluxe squeezer. The original to the period 3-piece leather case is in very good to near fine condition and show the bugle type maker’s cartouche.
