High quality sporting rifle on 98-Mauser action, barrel signed Gustav Genschow Berlin Germany. .375H&H Magnum caliber, 26-1/2” octagon to round hand-made barrel with raised European type milled rib, folding rearsight, hooded front sight. The gun shows a Pachmayr restock and rework with matte finish, select checkered burl walnut stock, quick detachable floorplate, and ornamented pistol grip cap. The stocks are of selectwalnut with fancy checkering and shows high quality throughout. The gun is mounted with quick detachable sling swivels on European type swivel mounts. The trigger and action have been fully worked by Pachmayr. The stock measures 13-1/2” to the end of the wood, 14-1/2” to the end of the hardrubber pad. The action is good, the bore is good and would clean to excellent. Pachmayr of Los Angeles reworked and rebuilt many fine firearms oncustom order for Robert Petersen.
