High quality European percussion knife pistol mounted with shell, bone, and horn grip scales, circa about 1860. The barrel portion measures 3-1/2” and is 25 caliber smooth bore. The trigger doubles as a corkscrew.Although not marked generally identified as German. The condition is good with dark metal patina, some scattered light to moderate erosion. The action is working, the grips are all good with patina and miniscule losses at edges. A very unusual combination of stock materials which may be unique. Last sold Richard K. Borne catalogue of James Elwood Jones collection 1981. From an old New York collector’s estate.Est.;$1,500-$3,000.
