High grade English full sidelock double-barrel shotgun by J. Roberts & Son, London England, 12ga, 28” barrels, finely engraved and gold inlaid, signed M. A. Hunt. Serial #2347. Finely checkered select walnut stock with wraparound oversize forend rounded pistol grips with checkered English-style butt with engraved plates. The gun shows double triggers and auto ejectors. The gun is finely engraved with English style scroll and large inlays of landing fowl surrounded by scrolls and best quality border work. The gun shows Robert’s signature in flush gold script on barrels and marked “Made for Bill Stremmel, Reno, Nevada.” Mr.Stremmel is a well known art and arms collector. The gun shows a fine rust-blue finish of which 98% remains. The locks and frame are color case hardened with browned lever and triggerguard for contrast. Thetriggerguard shows a single and outside rolled edge and the gun is beautifully stocked as previously mentioned with unusual oversized and wraparound forend with hole for forend release. The forend measures 10-3/4”
