High Cost Of Loving José Ferrer Signed Original Lobby Cards
High Cost Of Loving José Ferrer Signed Original Lobby Cards José Ferrer, the beloved actor's actor, perhaps best known for his performances as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in "Moulin Rouge" and as Cyrano de Bergerac, was also an accomplished director. He loved to tackle both controversial and intimate subject matters. One of his best was "The High Cost Of Loving" (1958), an unusual movie in which a high placed executive suddenly wonders if his road to "the top" of the corporate ladder is really the best way to live out the rest of his life. The movie changed the views of a great many "up and comers" in the late 1950's after they saw the film, and was referenced in both "Mad Men", and as one of the reasons for Oliver Wendell Douglass (Eddie Albert), to tells his wife Lisa (Eva Gabor) to leave his own high-level job and to "keep Manhattan, just give me the countryside!". These are two original Lobby Cards from "The High Cost of Loving", signed by its star and director José Ferrer. Being an extremely private man, autographs of Ferrer are hard to come by, especially signed on cards or posters of his own movies. Lobby Card is 14"x11".
