While 1983 is considered the introductory year for the HK94 carbine, the civilian legal version of H&Ks famous MP-5 Sub-Machine Gun, this arm was produced and imported in 1982. Available records indicate that this would have been the only HK94 brought into the United States in that year. Hooded post front sight and rotating drum rear sight, with the model marking and "001" serial number on the top rib of the frame, caliber markings on the left side of the receiver well and maker's marks on the right. The left side of the receiver bears "eagle/N" and "IC(antler)" proofs, which indicates 1982 production. Semi-automatic "S/F" trigger group, with red and white fill and right handed switch. Checkered forearm and textured pistol grip, with a telescoping checkered plastic and metal buttstock. With one 20-round magazine.
